2014 – 2016

Business and Systems Analyst – New Corporate Prepaid Card Product, Lloyds Banking Group - Cardiff

To enable the successful development of a new Corporate Prepaid card product. Business process design in line with UML standards employed at Lloyds Bank. Product configuration and build. Customer website specification and validating with Third Party system developers. MasterCard and transaction engine configuration for Chip and authorisation processes. Card design and manufacture and configuration processes in line with MasterCard CPV approval. Business and Systems testing and subsequent full lifecycle Live Proving.    

 

2012 – 2014

Business Analyst – Credit Cards Migration, Lloyds Banking Group - Cardiff

To enable the successful migration of Halifax and Bank of Scotland credit cards from inhouse supported systems to First Data systems as used by Lloyds Banking Group. Initial business analysis work covering Business requirements for Card Operations, Telephone Banking and Fulfilment Collateral. Subsequent specialisation in migration of fulfilment collateral, including document and plastic production, credit card scheme Visa / MasterCard plastic migration. Full lifecycle involvement from business and system requirement gathering and sign off, through build with system configuration, to test and implementation, and subsequent support.    

 

2009 – 2012

eCommerce Business and Sytems Analyst, Arval AllStar Fuel Card - Swindon

Develop a B2B Customer web proposition to increase current utilisation and drive customer and business benefits.  To migrate from current platform to Java Portal in line with business brand style guidelines, and interpret for transactional capability. Business requirements gathering through developing Wireframes and running workshops. Develop high level estimates in conjunction with suppliers. Undertake Discovery sessions to validate estimates. Develop prototypes for web to enable stakeholder and customer engagement in scope, and manage change control. Undertake analysis of data integration into backoffice TSYS Credit Card Platform over MQ and XML, data warehouse for reporting, and EDM (document management platform). Undertake Usability and Competitor analysis. Responsible for monitoring development with supplier and assisting in test and migration to ensure delivery is fit for purpose.    

 

2008 – 2009

Business Change Analyst, Arval AllStar Fuel Card - Swindon

To assist internal Management resource in initial project set up and procurement process for suppliers of new Credit Card platform to migrate from mag stripe to Chip and Pin. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) modelling and volumetrix and resource planning, feeding into Business case. Running workshops to gather Business Requirements for changes to and configuration of TSYS Card platform.

 

2006 – 2007

Project Manager /Business & Systems Analyst, HBoS Card Services

Project Management in project to change legal name of Bank, including change of all computer generated and preprinted documents, including  changes to eCommerce transactional and brochureware websites. This project delivered "on time" and under budget. Additional projects involved Change Management control for a platform migration project and Documentation migration from one system to another. These projects involved working across multiple sites in Northern England, Scotland and South Wales.

 

2005 – 2006

eCommerce Contractor and Business Analyst, HBoS Card Services

The overall project involved the successful migration of credit cards from one platform to another. The specific area involved the full lifecycle from business analysis, design and estimating, change management and implementation for transfer of eCommerce functionality to support new credit card applications and servicing of that card on new platform. This involved working across multiple sites in Scotland and South Wales. Additional work to support document production across all business areas on new platform.

 

2003 – 2004

eCommerce Strategy Consultant, Zurich Insurance UK

The overall project included major process and system re-engineering. Malcolm undertook Business Analysis and planning for eCommerce website providing full lifecycle insurance quotation, sale and service functionality for general insurance, with portal and XML connectivity, to bespoke and Polaris industry standards, including electronic document distribution and management to comply with FSA. This included design of user interface, web tracking to increase conversion and creation of usability guidelines.

 

2002 – 2003

Internet Implementation Consultant, Zurich Commercial

Contract to improve overall website usability and brand consistency by transfer of their B2B website from static content pages to Microsoft Content Manager, and enable differing content by user logon.  Integrate MCMS content pages with transactional quote engine across multiple servers, and source and negotiate with suppliers for build of quote engine. Set up roles and workflow for content publishing and train staff. Setup website analysis tools and Return on Investment (ROI) models.

1997 - 2002

Internet and Electronic Distribution Manager, Eagle Star

Developed Business Operating Model and Strategy for successful implementation of Eagle Star transactional web site. Obtaining and managing external build to requirements, timescales and budget.  Created marketing and pricing strategy based on payment by results. Created MI systems to track performance of web business from source to back end profit, and revised business models based on Lifetime Value of clients.

 

1995 - 1997

Image and Workflow Manager, Eagle Star

Developed revised business processes, initial pilots, evaluation with revisions to CBA and subsequent Roll Out of electronic files for Claims handling across multiple UK sites.

 

1992 - 1995

3 Year Car Leasing Insurance Manager,  Motability Finance

Underwriting and Pricing for 250,000 3 year insurance contracts.  Developed from scratch in 60 days new underwriting systems from time of contract signing to launch. Developed unique teleclaims notification system in Visual Basic for implementation on local servers.

 

1989 - 1992

Head Office Motor Insurance Underwriter, Eagle Star

Created innovative “Plastic Certificate”, established suppliers, and brought to market. Responsible for creation and publication of rates via paper and electronic media through software houses and delegated authority arrangements.

 

1985 - 1989

Call and Administration Centre Manager, Sutton South London

Managing 120 staff handling front and back office for Broker and Direct insurance.
